The Focal Plane Imager (FPI)

This is used to control the Focal Plane Imaging gantry which carries a small CCD which can be positioned almost anywhere in 2dFs focal plane to take images. It is used for astrometric calibration and field acquisition as described in more detail in the Observing guide. The FPI control window is shown in Figure .
