Introduction

TAURUS is an imaging Fabry-Perot interferometer which sits at the Cassegrain focus of the Anglo-Australian Telescope, Siding Spring Observatory, Australia. The astronomical community is encouraged to apply for observing time (see the AAO homepage for details). The instrument has six basic modes of operation. These are
 

TAURUS Tunable Filter (TTF)
TAURUS++ low resolution spectroscopy - long slit and multi-slit
TAURUS polarimetry
TAURUS 3D line scanning (*under construction)
TAURUS diffuse detection
TAURUS time series (*under construction)

Differential photometry or differential sky subtraction is available via the use of charge shuffling. For the seasoned astronomer, published papers exist for all of the above observing modes. Contact Joss Bland-Hawthorn for details. When I get time, I will post a list to this web site.
