GalaxyCount - Version History
GalaxyCount
Back
Version History
5.0 - 10/7/07 - few tweaks including a coffeecup cursor, and some clarification
of names of throughputs
5.0b - 9/7/07 - Added a JCheckBox to
set up default HST
counts.
- Default HST counts use new completeness function from Scoville et al.
- flashing on and off is fixed.
4.2 - 31/5/07 - Added HST F450W, F606W and F814W bands with a single number conversion to B,R,I
- conversions are fromfrom Metcalfe et al. 2001, based on median HDF galaxy colours with F814W<28.
4.1 - 6/3/07 - Changed calculation of variance.
- Previous versions used an analytic calculation that assumed a continuous distribution of galaxies,
- we now use numerical methods which assume a discrete distribution, as in Peebles 1975, eqn. 10.
- Non-poissonian variance is approximately 25% higher in the new version.
- We now also allow different window functions to be used.
- The default sigmoid function has been changed from a slope of 1.4 to a slope of 3.0
3.1 - 08/11/06 - Completeness limits from SDF converted to Vega mags.
- Completeness exposures from SDF corrected (before assumed all = 595 minutes)
3.0 - (not released) - Significant changes in the following:
- previously the non-Poissonian part of the variance was wrong by a factor (4-delta)
- now assumes a square cell instead of a circular cell.
- also made language change replacing deprecated .show() with .setVisible(true)
- fixed truncated title with ipadx=100
2.2 - 3/4/06 - Bug fixed in scaling completeness with SNR - was working in
wrong
direction
2.1 - 10/3/06 - Bug fixed in which the window was not redrawn on Linux.
2.0 - 27/2/06 - Release number 2.0 signifies the astro-ph release.
1.6 - 27/2/06 - Enlarged JComboBox magbox to show all filters at once.
1.5 - 24/2/06 - Variable throughputs added. Completeness tab added
showing sigmoid and completeness limits.
1.4 - 22/2/06 - Cosmetic changes including a help button for
throughput
1.3 - 13/2/06 - Axes improved in DrawGraph and AwDrawGraph
1.2 - 8/2/06 - Bug fixed - input own value now works again
1.1 - Test release. ugriz conversions use Bruzual and Charlot z=0
colours.
