Monday, 11th December - 4pm ATNF Basement Conference Room Australian Astronomy Beyond 2000 - The Way Ahead Chris Tinney (AAO) & Peter Hall (ATNF) In 1995 the Australian astronomical community prepared "Australian Astronomy: Beyond 2000" which laid out strategies for the next 10 years. Mid-way through that time we find ourselves bein massively outspent by our overseas colleagues, while local funding has become more and more strained. We will outline the strategies adopted in "Beyond 2000: The Way Ahead" a draft mid-term review report being prepared for the NCA. Community input and feedback is essential to this process, so please come along, hear what's been going on in our tiny little minds, so that you can have your say on "The Way Ahead".
