The list below is a listing of Messier objects from photoghraphs taken using the Anglo-Australian Telescope, UK Schmidt Telescope and Isaac Newton Telescopes. There are also images remastered from archived original plates taken at the Hale Telescope (the Crab nebula images), as well as one of the first colour piuctures taken with the Palomar Schmidt Telescope (M31, full view). These images are accessible on other pages sorted by telescope and image type. The list is meant as a guide only for those wishing to search by Messier object.
