These new images are the result of digitally re-mastering the positive 3-colour separations that were used for many of the existing photographs. This produces results that combine the very wide field of the AAT's telescopes with extremely high resolution and a colour fidelity that could not be achieved photographically. Many of "old" photographs have been re-made in this way and are perfect for long zoom sequences for movie or TV, especially when combined with existing, more tightly-cropped images. They also make excellent large format murals. Also listed below are some new images that have been made from plates that could not be combined photographically. More new images are planned (in addition to the new CCD images) and will be added to this list as they are made. However, fully captioned web pages may not appear so readily. All the new images can be supplied as digital files up to 23 x 28.5 cm (about 9 x 11 inches) at 600 dpi, or at higher resolution on request. Most are not available as transparencies.
