DIGITAL IMAGES All AAO colour images are available as high-quality digital files (RGB .TIF or .JPG format) for book and magazine publication. They are in a range of sizes and formats up to about 100Mb (22.5 x 28.5cm -- 9 x 11 inches at 600dpi) and can be supplied on CD-ROM or by ftp. Contact us for more details. For personal use the JPEG files on the WWW pages can be downloaded from our anonymous ftp directory. Please note the images are copyright and any commercial or www use requires written permission. Please read the file aao_legal.txt at the top of that directory. As always, the AAO calendar combines some of the finest new, wide-field images with familiar favourites from the AAO telescopes each with its own picture and a short but informative caption. Rise and set times for the Sun and Moon are given on each day, as well as astronomical happengs and events that can be seen with the unaided eye. The calendar is available from Australian Geographic Publications (external site). We are happy supply exhibition-quality prints and display transparencies (backlits) of the highest quality of all of our images up to 127 x 160cm (about 50 x 62 inches). These prints are individually made to order. Decide what image(s) and what size you want and contact us for a quotation.
