Online Data Analysis

Data reduction packages supported at the telescope include FIGARO and IRAF. Data from the CCDs and IPCS are recorded on a VAX disk in FIGARO DST format and can be accessed without the need for byte swapping from both VMS and UNIX machines. Below we give basic FIGARO commands for online data analysis.

Full reduction of the data is not discussed here. Software packages an observer might use include FIGARO, IRAF, and ECHOMOP. A summary of FIGARO reduction procedures is given in Appendix gif. Documents for the observer's preferred package should be consulted for more details. In addition, observers might find the paper by Hall et al. (1994, PASP, 106, 315) a helpful discussion of echelle data reduction tasks.
