Section we give a description of the optical components.
The SYNTEL microprocessor system that interfaces the VAX to the
instrument lives in the coudé east anteroom alongside the
spectrograph power supplies, IPCS rack, and shutter overrides.
The following subsections deal with each part of the spectrograph hardware, roughly in the same order as they appear along the light path from telescope to detector.
