The calculations here assume a 3-sigma detection of 1e-17 erg/s/cm2 flux
in 1 arcsec seeing. We have used the
total system efficiency
combined with night-sky
OH emission
and
absorption
spectra.
Sensitivity at blue wavelengths for the MIT chip will be greater than
that shown here, once it has been coated to improve its blue response.
Dark current has not been incorporated into the 200 K plots but only
affects those results beyond 900 nm. OH night sky emission-lines beyond
920 nm are not included. All plots assume dark time.
Alternatively, customise you
calculations using the new web-based
Signal-to-Noise ratio
calculator for TTF.
