We are seeking applications from outstanding early career astronomers
from any area of astronomical research. Ideally candidates will have
research strengths that complement those of the MQ astronomy,
astrophysics and astrophotonics research group (MQAAAstro) and the
research activities of the AAO.
The successful candidate
will share time equally between pursuing active astronomical research
and undertaking appropriate teaching and other academic activities
within the Physics and Astronomy Department at Macquarie University
(MQ) and in supporting the observing and research activities of the
Astronomy group at the Australian Astronomical Observatory.
This joint position
offers excellent opportunities to develop strong collaborative research
projects between MQ and the AAO.

Appointment Type:
Full-time, fixed term for a period of 4 years with the possibility of
extension subject to funding and satisfactory performance.
Probationary conditions may apply.
Level B Package:
from $80,807 - $95,824 per annum, plus 17% employer’s
superannuation and annual leave loading.
Level C Package:
from $98,827 - $113,844 per annum, plus 17% employer’s
superannuation and annual leave loading.
