The distribution of QSOs with measured redshifts in the 2dF QSO
Redshift Survey as of January 2000. The top and bottom strips shows
the position of the objects on the sky, eventually both strips
will be completely covered, but at the moment we have only carried out
about 40% of the observations. The "wedges" show the
distribution of QSOs
radially outwards from us, projected onto a constant declination plane.
If you use your imagination a little you might even already be able to
pick out structures in the distribution!
