In October 1998 the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) will once again carry
out a deep imaging program in a selected region. This region has
been selected to be in one of the Southern Continuous Viewing Zones (CVZ)
of the HST. The region contains a high-redshift QSO (z=2.24) which
was orignally identified with the UKST and AAT 2dF facility.
The AAO plans a number of support ground-based observations for the Southern Hubble Deep Field (HDF-S). This page provides the latest information on the HDF-S, including links to any non-proprietary data which have already been obtained. Any AAO data provided on this basis should be given full acknowledgment in any resulting publications. B.J.Boyle
